It is the first sequel to the 1987 film Lethal Weapon. Los Angeles PD officers Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs are back. They respectively reprise their roles as LAPD officers Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh. When a red BMW crashes while they are chasing it, they discover the trunk is full of South African Krugerands. Their boss assigns them to protect an irritating federal witness named Leo Getz (Pesci) to try and keep them out of trouble. When the witness reveals he has been doing business with a gang of South African diplomats, who are hiding behind diplomatic immunity, the story evolves into a fast moving chase.

@loveliberty1776 It’s a movie, Murtough told Riggs to keep it quiet and as a joke they made the scene funny so nearly every unit would be there.

If that was really a scene of a suspected bomb incident, they wouldn’t have twenty officers and a psychiatrist running around his up-stairs, and they would minimize the number of police entrants to a bare minimum with officers on the bomb squad. This part of the script was so unprofessionally scripted and plotted.

I still can’t believe LW1 -2 were made int he 80s, these kinds of movies often sucked back then.
